This drug belongs to a group of antibiotics called penicillin that is used to treat wide range of bacterial infections. This drug used in the treatment of bacterial infections. This drug is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is used to treat various bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, bones, lungs, and post-operative wound infections.

Ampicillin is used to treat types of infection caused by bacteria e.g. tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, gonorrhea, and infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, or urinary tract.
