Disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate is mainly used in cleaning products, including bubble baths, bath soaps, detergents, shampoos and shaving creams. Some doubts remain about this product, mainly whether it is equivalent to the surfactant sulfate called disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate. Disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate is never like laurel sulfate derived from laurel alcohol. Laurel sulfates often cause skin problems; basically it is a small molecule that causes very sensitive skin irritation. Disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate is vegetarian in nature and is a large molecule derived from coconut.
Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate is a sulfate free anionic surfactant. It is a good Foaming agent which produces a creamy rich lather in products. Godrej Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate is considerably milder than SLS whilst still producing plenty of foam. Godrej Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate can be used in Shampoos, Bubble bath products, Bath bombs, Liquid Soap bases, Soap Bars and Body Wash Bases.
